Plan your arrival
The UNESCO-listed Old Town sits on a small island between the mainland and Čiovo. Most visitors should park outside the historic core and continue on foot.
Fortin is the closest municipal option but carries the highest peak-season tariff. The mainland car parks and open zones trade a longer walk for lower prices. If certainty matters, search GoParko for a private space you can reserve before travelling.

These are the visitor-facing locations published by Trogir Holding. “Public” does not mean free, and availability is not guaranteed.
Old Town edge, Hrvatskih mučenika / Hrvatskog proljeća 1971
The closest municipal option to the historic core and priced accordingly. Up to 20 minutes is free for exit or drop-off.
Pay: Cash or bank card; card payment is also available at the exit barrier.
Kardinala Alojzija Stepinca, beside the Trogir–Šibenik road
A practical general-purpose choice on the mainland side. Up to 10 minutes is free after entry.
Pay: Coins, notes or Visa/Mastercard at the machines; staffed payment is also available during operating shifts.
Both sides of Put Kapelice
Usually better value than Fortin, with a longer walk to the historic centre. Up to 10 minutes is free after entry.
Pay: Coins or notes at the automatic machine.
South side of Kneza Trpimira
A seasonal car and coach park, charged 24 hours a day from 15 April to 31 October. Up to 10 minutes is free after entry.

Between Dr. Franje Tuđmana and Put Mulina

Barrier-controlled car parks have individual prices. Open parking is grouped into payment zones, but the published hourly rate is currently the same across the six visitor locations.

Always check the sign: tariffs, operating dates and payment methods can change. Prices above are the published rates checked on 29 July 2026; the sign at the car park takes precedence.
Know the trade-off
Useful before you drive
Trogir's historic core is compact and largely pedestrian. If Old Town is your destination, compare mainland-side parking before driving onto Čiovo, especially in summer traffic.
Fortin is the premium municipal option beside the historic core. T1, T2 and open-zone parking can cost much less if you are comfortable with a longer walk.
Not every barrier car park accepts cards, while open locations use two different Croatian SMS numbers. Visitors without a Croatian mobile plan may find the listed payment apps or a card-enabled location easier.
The operator publishes locations and tariffs, but not dependable live availability. In peak season, leave time for a second choice or reserve a private GoParko space in advance.
GoParko can show suitable larger private spaces for daytime parking. It does not offer overnight motorhome stays; always follow signage and the host's vehicle limits.
The published municipal information does not give a complete visitor-facing list of accessible bays or height limits. Check signs on arrival or contact the operator if either is essential.
Questions answered
Trogir Holding currently describes ten visitor-facing parking locations: Fortin, T1, T2, T4, T3, Čiovo, Ribola, Soline, Balančane and Dom zdravlja. It also lists a separate T1 area for eligible Old Town residents.
Under the current tariff, several locations are €0.80 per hour in their winter charging period. In summer, the open-zone locations are €1.50 per hour; prices and date bands can change, so confirm the signs before leaving your vehicle.
The official operator page lists drive-up public parking and does not promise a visitor reservation. GoParko's private spaces are designed to be searched and booked for a chosen period.
This guide does not recommend overnight motorhome parking. GoParko only offers daytime motorhome parking, and Croatian rules distinguish parking from camping behaviour.
Not in the summer charging period: the open locations are charged every day, including Sundays and public holidays, from 1 May to 30 September. Winter hours differ, so always check the sign at the location.
This guide separates published facts from practical guidance. Municipal capacity and live occupancy are not published reliably, so we do not guess them.
